Last Dollar Ranch is presrved under a permanent conservation easement donated to the American Farmland Trust. The easement protects the property from mining, subdivision and destruction of the land for commercial or recreational purposes, while allowing sustainable ranching and farming. A reserved building envelope accommodates up to four family residences. The conservation easement remains with the property deed in perpetuity.
Last Dollar Ranch will be a legacy of open space, wildlife habitat and ranching tradition. It has been an inspiration to others in the area to similarly protect their properties.
